Day trip to Bristol, Clifton and Blaise Castle Estate

Thursday, September 14, 2017
9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Meet: Outside main door of Bath Abbey

‘Blaise Castle! The finest place in England – worth going fifty miles at any time to see’. So said John Thorpe in Northanger Abbey. Visit historic Bristol and lovely 18th Century suburb Clifton, where Austen stayed in 1806; walk along magnificent Royal York Crescent and famous Clifton Suspension Bridge. After lunch drive to Blaise Castle Estate, and venture up the hill to the outside of the ‘folly’ like little castle building.
