The 2017
Grand Regency Costumed Charity Promenade

was on Saturday 9th September

Participants reported to the Marquee on the Royal Crescent Lawn at 10.30am; Promenade commenced at 11am sharp – from the Royal Crescent Lawn (see below for map of the route)

Tickets to take part cost: £10 Adult (Under 16 free but must be with a participating adult in COSTUME)

The Jane Austen Festival officially opens with our world famous Grand Regency Costumed JAF - Promenade-0197Promenade. The Promenade is a procession through the streets of this beautiful city and over 500 people all in 18th Century costume take part, making it a record breaking event. In 2014 the Jane Austen Festival achieved the Guinness World Record TM for ‘The largest gathering of people dressed in Regency costumes’. All sorts of people take part from the very young to the young at heart plus red coats, dancers and our official town crier.

£1 from every ticket sold is donated to the Festival’s charity (2017 charity is the Royal United Hospital, Bath, Cancer Care Campaign)
